Scott Cole and Linda Yodice

Artistic Directors for Paul Mitchell Professional Hair Color

Award-winning Artistic Directors for Paul Mitchell Professional Hair Color and owners of a Paul Mitchell School, Scott Cole and Linda Yodice love the effect of cut and color together.

Linda grew up in the world of beauty and decided on a career in hairdressing as the perfect way to combine her love for aesthetics and her skills in design. A native of Scotland, like Paul Mitchell himself, Scott moved to the United States to become a well-known and highly respected hairdresser. Due to his great respect for Paul Mitchell and his product line, Scott approached with excitement the opportunity to integrate his knowledge of cut and color with the educational goals of John Paul Mitchell Systems.

In 1998, Scott and Linda helped create and launch Paul Mitchell Professional Hair Color. To share their knowledge of integrating color and cut, they began Colorcutting USA, their advanced educational academy in Carefree, Arizona, where they teach their Colorcutting method using only Paul Mitchell Professional Hair Color. They also co-own Paul Mitchell The School Atlanta and Paul Mitchell The School Phoenix

Scott and Linda make a great stylist team and successful business partners. Together they have performed onstage in front of thousands of hairstylists around the world, instructing them on the importance of designing cuts and coloring techniques to complement each other. Their individual imaginations only fuel their partnership. Linda created the Block Color techniques that are quickly replacing weaving as the favored application mode among color artists. Scott continually educates himself through “cross training,” drawing inspiration from all facets of life, including architecture and landscapes.

The beauty industry has recognized both artists on numerous occasions. At Haircolor USA 2002, Scott and Linda took home the award for Most Innovative Technique by a Manufacturer for Paul Mitchell Professional Hair Color’s Block Color techniques. In 2003, Scott and Linda were honored by Haircolor USA attendees as Haircolorist of the Year. At NAHA 2004, they were honored as Master Stylist of the Year.

Scott and Linda are continually featured in the industry’s top trade and consumer magazines, and were named two of the Top 100 Educators of the 20th century by Modern Salon magazine. Scott has also received such distinguished honors as the NAHA Multicultural Hairdresser of the Year Award, Fashion Group’s Master of the Craft and Lifetime Achievement Awards, and in 2007 he was appointed Fashion Director for Intercoiffure North America and was knighted by the Ordre de la Chevalerie.

Both Scott and Linda know the color of a great cut.
